Hard Wired 120VAC Motors
Hard wired shades provide the smoothest operation and are nearly silent. Blind Faith LLC works with the best electrical contractors in the Austin area to make sure that the electrical portion of the project is up to code. We also work with professional contractors to ensure any holes needed for the electrical are patched up and painted perfectly so you never know where those holes were needed. Somfy’s Sonesse 50 motor is the most common hardwired motorization system. This system can lift up to 30lbs and retails at $1,250 per motor.
DC Low Voltage Motors
Low voltage motors are not quite as quiet as the hard wired motors, but they are a great option for smaller shades. Somfy’s Sonesse 30 motor is the most common low voltage motor and comes with a transformer. The lift capacity is up to 17lbs and retails for $875 per motor.
Battery Operated Motors
Battery operated motors are the most affordable motorization available. The motors are considerably more noisy than a hardwired shades and they require more maintenance due to the changing of the batteries. However, at a retail price of only $500 per motor it is a good option for customers wanting the ease of motorization without the high price tag. It’s important that your battery tube is located somewhere you can reach it. If you have a high window, Blind Faith LLC can typically extend the wiring for the battery tube and run the wires down to a more convenient location.
